So when I'm in the bathroom, by myself, enjoying a little bit of quietness, sitting on the throne, here's what I can read: "The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes" -Marcel Proust. It is certainly an interesting place to put that saying but at the same time, that's where you can think about it! On a boat, even a 36 metres boat, space somehow get very limited. You can't just walk it off. The further you can go is the bow where there's a little seat and under sail, it's actually quite cool to put your fee over the water and look at the horizon. Anyhow, there's not that much place on the boat.
Seriously, it goes back to that french guys I've meet in Puerto Princesa early January for whom travelling wasn't about what you see but with the people you travel with. He was telling me that at the beginning of is trip he wanted to see the 7 wonders of the world and in the end it didn't matter because it wasn't interesting going to see those beautiful place and being unable to share the experience with someone you can connect with. It somehow relates together.
This saying make so much sense because I realize once again what this trip is all about. When I left home, I wanted to see and understand what's happening. Well what's happening will always go on, but as it goes along, there's different ways of understanding it. It's beautiful to see and hear all those point of view from all around the world! And that's what travelling is all about. The other option would be to open a Youth hostel back home and have the travellers come to you!!! Maybe one day! Only God knows... or Bouddha... or Hallah!
